Company Pension schemes

They are many different types of schemes offered by employers.

Some provide for a benefit based upon your earnings at or near retirement and are called final salary schemes.

Others, rely upon contributions that your employer and perhaps you may make which accumulate with the investment returns to produce a pension pot. Your pension pot is then used to provide for an incoming your retirement typically through the purchase of an annuity but other options are available.
